multimedia
- As we discussed last week because of the active content bug on ie, putting multimedia files into your HTML is tricky. There is basically no agreement within the industry on what the best way to do this is because the ways that actually work best in the real world are inelegant and not standards compliant. Because of this, i'm taking the practical road on these and showing you some techniques that work now. If you continue in this field, you'll need to keep yourself up-to-date as the argument rages on, and when someone figures out a way that is elegant, standards compliant, and works well on all major browsers and platforms, you'll need to learn that technique in order to provide the best service to your clients.
- There is an excellent and full introduction to these issues on the teaching blog of Catherine Garnier
